Installations

During 2008 Michelle was commissioned to complete several large installations for rb&hArts at the Royal Brompton Hospital.

'I feel that art, design and creative installations in hospitals are very important and if tackled in a sympathetic way, can assist with the rehabilitation of patients. To work as an artist in a hospital you have to be understanding not only to the patients but also the environment and the staff who work there. Many artists will exhibit their work in a big, white, spacious gallery. I personally love and enjoy the challenges of designing and installing artwork that reciprocates the existing environment, making art accessible to everyone.' Michelle Johnson (2008)
